Dr. Kenney graduated with a degree in Biology from Providence College and went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry degree at the New England College of Optometry in Boston. Dr. Kenney then completed a residency at the VA hospital in West Roxbury, specializing in primary care and medical optometry. Her interests now are primarily contact lens fittings and primary care optometry. While in school, Dr. Kenney was a member of the honor society and participated in Volunteer Optometric Service to Humanity (VOSH), a group of students who traveled to Mexico to give eye exams and glasses to people in an underdeveloped area.
Outside of the office, Dr. Kenney enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, who is active in dance and gymnastics. Dr. Kenney also enjoys reading and exercise, and loves to spend summer weekends on Cape Cod.
Be sure to ask Dr. Kenney about her favorite New England sports team. She will be quick to give a shout out to the Providence College Friars basketball team, but will also admit that the Patriots are on her list of local favorites.
