Dr. Lauren Bierman
Dr. Bierman graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Near Eastern Studies. She went on to complete her post baccalaureate pre-medical training at the University of Pennsylvania and received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. She completed her Ophthalmology residency and a Medical Retina fellowship at the New England Eye Center at Tufts Medical Center. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
At Princeton, Dr. Bierman focused on the power of medicine to unite people living in conflict regions. This interest prompted her to conduct research in Israel and volunteer at Save A Child’s Heart, a non-profit organization with the mission of improving the quality of pediatric cardiac care for children in developing countries.
In addition to her volunteer work, Dr. Bierman also played on Princeton’s Division I softball team. During her free time she likes to remain active, travel, read and most of all, spend time with her husband and daughter.
